When you go out, your destination usually affects your choice of ensemble and how you put it together. But for new years eve, it doesn’t matter where you’re going you always step it up to make sure your look is on point. Although my destination for the celebration of the new year is not set, in my pursuit of achieving moderate snobbery I plan to turn heads wherever I am. But always in good taste.
The occasion automatically brings a special ensemble to mind. Initiate the look with a custom-made grey blazer accented with black. Black usually compliments well with grey, so a simple black dress shirt underneath with a white bow-tie and a patterned pocket square complete the look above the waist. To keep the look on point below the waist, a straight legged black slack or tuxedo pant from an H&M or Zara will be perfect. And don’t step on my black suede shoes! Lastly, Polo Black is a great fragrance for this occasion that makes a statement–without being overbearing.
Wherever I end up I’ll look and feel like a million bucks. Whether you dress it up, dress it down, or dress somewhere in between, have your look set the tone for your intentions in the new year.
